the logistics

Couples looking to host their wedding at Dancing Ewe Farm can have their ceremony in the lush pasture, by the traditional main doors of our barn, or inside the barn in a rustic yet elegant setting.

The main barn can accommodate up to 100 people, and when combined with the outside area, we can accommodate 200 guests. We have parking for up to 150 cars and access to a designated bridal suite is available, complete with full bath and deck views overlooking the farm.

We offer onsite catering, featuring selections that we also offer in our signature farm-to-table restaurant. Among the options are farm-made bread, sheep’s milk cheeses, salumi, and fresh ingredients from the garden. The catering can be complemented by our imported Italian wines to help enhance the occasion.

Other services include china, flatware, linens, tables, and chairs. Couples can also host their engagement party, shower or rehearsal dinner at the farm.

Besides the picturesque backdrop (which allowed for amazing scenery and unbelievable photos!) the highlight of the evening was the expertly curated food menu, recommended and prepared by Jody. Course after course was more delicious than the last, from the cheese plate with cheese and charcuterie from the farm, to the handmade ravioli, meat courses, and dessert. "Can’t say enough great things about the Dancing Ewe team and our wedding experience.
We were looking for a low-key wedding with approx 50 guests. As a dating couple we had been to their Saturday night farm dinner a few times in the past, and thought it would be a beautiful experience if we could have our wedding/reception there. When we met with Jody to discuss the date, we explained our goal was to keep the wedding reception similar in style to their Saturday night dinners with a small ceremony built in. Jody and his team took it from there and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

An hour of prosecco and apps with camp fires, followed by candle lit walkways, and rustic blanketed hay bale seating for the onsite ceremony. The ceremony was temporarily interrupted by some nearby enthusiastic sheep who apparently thought my wife could have made a better choice. “Bahhh” they exclaimed in objection! We all got a kick of that!

At our request, the dinner was as simple and elegant as only “the Ewe” knows how to do it. Four overwhelmingly delicious courses, as well as a customized menu for a gluten free guest. The guests who requested a tour of the farm were led by the owner through the property, where kids got to pet sheep and collect some eggs from the henhouse. The adults marveled at the old-world style of cheese making and a quick stop in the aging room. All the while, Jody fielded questions from inquisitive guests and explained the process and intricacies of his craft.

Oh, then there’s the wine! The owner sources bottles he selects personally from smaller vineyards in Italy that produce exquisite wine but don’t have distribution in the states. The Peteglia Riserva was our favorite. We gifted some of these bottles to our wedding party at the end of the night.
